Privacy
Private by design
No account, no BreathMate server for your data, and no selling of data. Personalization runs on your device, your history syncs through your own iCloud, and any anonymous analytics can be turned off.
The core of BreathMate runs on your device. There is no BreathMate account to create and no BreathMate server storing your sessions - your history stays with you.
What stays on your device
- Your sessions, pace and Breathing Fingerprint.
- Any heart-rate signals read from Apple Watch, with your permission.
- The apps you would choose for Calm Gate (a planned feature).
Apple Health
If you allow it, BreathMate reads heart-rate data through Apple Health to personalize sessions. This access is optional, controlled by you in the Health app, and used only on your device. BreathMate does not upload your Health data.
iCloud sync
If you use iCloud, your data can sync privately across your own devices through your personal iCloud account. BreathMate cannot read that data - it is between your devices and Apple.
Anonymous analytics in the app
To understand which features actually help, BreathMate uses restrained, anonymous product analytics: no name, no account, and no health data or breathing details - just anonymous signals like which screens are used. It is on by default and you can turn it off anytime in Settings. Your purchases are handled by Apple through RevenueCat for receipt validation; we never see your payment details.
This website
This website uses privacy-friendly, cookieless analytics to understand aggregate traffic (such as which pages are visited and in which language). It does not track you across the web, and it never receives your in-app health data or the apps you gate. Because we set no non-essential cookies, there is no cookie banner.
Your controls
- Turn off anonymous analytics anytime in the app Settings.
- Delete your data at any time from within the app.
- Turn off Apple Health access in the Health app.
