BreathMate AI

An AI breathing coach in your browser

Ask about techniques, pacing and safety - or have it build you a short session. Free, no account. Beta, answers in English.

Most AI chat tools will answer anything, sourced from anywhere. BreathMate AI is deliberately narrower: it answers only from what BreathMate publishes - the Breathing Atlas, the documented technique catalogue and the safety guidance - and says so when a question falls outside that.

What you can ask it

Explain a technique

Exact timings, who it suits and any caution - box breathing, 4-7-8, coherent breathing and the rest of the documented catalogue.

Build a short session

Tell it what the session is for - sleep, calm, focus or recovery - and how many minutes you have. It composes only from documented techniques and hands the result to the app.

Get the safety guidance

Questions that touch a medical condition get the safety wording verbatim, straight from the safety page - never an improvised answer.

Find the free tools

It points you to the free browser timers and calculators - no account, they work offline.

How it stays honest

  1. Grounded answers only
Every answer is drawn from the published BreathMate pages. If the catalogue does not document something, it will not invent it.
  2. Safety wording is verbatim
Medical and crisis questions return the exact words of the safety page, not a paraphrase. Breathing exercises are wellbeing tools, not medical treatment.
  3. The app confirms before breathing starts
When the assistant hands a session to BreathMate, the app shows its own confirmation sheet first - nothing starts on the say-so of the assistant.

Questions people ask

Is BreathMate AI free?
Yes. It runs in your browser at breathmate.app/en/assistant, with no account and no download. The BreathMate app itself is a separate, free download with optional premium.
What is it grounded in?
The published BreathMate content: the Breathing Atlas, the documented technique catalogue and the safety guidance. It does not browse the web or answer from general internet text.
Is it medical advice?
No. It is a wellbeing tool. For any medical condition, or if breathing exercises make you feel unwell, it returns the safety guidance and points you to a clinician.
What languages does it speak?
English only while in beta, because the content that grounds it is English. Other languages come when their content is reviewed.
Do I need an account?
No. There is no sign-in and nothing to install. See how BreathMate handles privacy.
How is it different from the BreathMate app?
The assistant explains and composes; the app guides the actual breathing - with Apple Watch haptics and Adaptive Breathing that responds to how your body settles. The assistant can hand a session straight to the app.
